Diploma in Information Technology programme equips students with strong knowledge in fundamentals of IT and adequately prepares them to continue their studies in software engineering / systems analysis and database technologies.

The programme exposes students to the various fields of information technology such as software, hardware, operating systems, networking and multimedia.

Main Intakes
The main intakes are conducted in December (Short semester), March (Long semester) and July (Long semester) of each year.

Entry Requirements

Any one of the following qualifications:

  1. Pass SPM / SPMV with 3 credits or pass SMIII (UEC) / GCE ‘O’ Level inclusive Mathematics;
  2. Pass Computing Certificate from Polytechnics or other PHEI*;
  3. Pass Computing Certificate programme from Kolej Universiti Linton or PHEI with Standard Minimum certified*;
  4. Recognised related Technical / Vocational Certificate or equivalent with ONE (1) year relevant work experience or ONE (1) semester Bridging Programme*;
  5. Other equivalent qualifications recognized by Malaysian Government*;

PHEI : Private Higher Education Institutions

English Language Requirements (For international students only)
All international students from a country in which English is not used as the medium of instruction in formal education are required to meet the following English language requirements:

  1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum score of 550 (PBT) or 213 (CBT) or 79 – 80 (iBT)
  2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum overall Band 6.
  3. Malaysian University English Test (MUET) : minimum Band 6.

The test must be taken no more than two years before the start of your studies at Legenda.
