Bachelor of Science (Hons) Construction Management programme is designed for those who wish to obtain knowledge and skills which are necessary to become a highly trained professional in Construction Management. You will study construction technology, project planning and control, construction law and safety, and construction project management. Graduates in Construction Management are in great demand. Most graduate careers are concerned with building contracting with roles being varied, either site or office based.

Career Prospects
Graduates from this programme can work as Construction Manager, Contract Manager or Project Manager. The Construction Manager’s role is to provide construction advice to the designer and builder on behalf of client. Construction Managers assists and advise clients on cost and construction methods from design to the completion stage to ensure value for money in the investments made.

Teaching Method
Principal teaching and learning methods used to enable outcomes to be achieved are lectures, tutorials, seminars, site visits, CAD and drawing classes, laboratory classes, design projects, problem based learning, field courses, group and individual problem solving exercises and projects, interdisciplinary integrated project involvement including design drawing and modeling.

Assessment
Principal assessment methods used to enable outcomes to be demonstrated are laboratory reports, written examinations, essays, case study analysis, design and construction exercises, laboratory exercises, individual and group projects, verbal presentations and reports.

Entry Requirements

Any one of the following qualifications:

  1. Pass STPM / GCE ‘A’ Level with 2 principals.
  2. Pass relevant Foundation programme from institutions recognized by Malaysian Government*;
  3. Pass relevant Matriculation / Diploma / HND programme from other PHEI with standards minimum certified or accredited with CGPA ≥ 2.00*
  4. Pass SM III (UEC) with minimum 5Bs;
  5. Other equivalent qualifications recognized by Malaysian Government*;
  6. Other equivalent foreign qualifications recognized by Malaysian Government*.

English Language Requirements (For international students only)
All international students from a country in which English is not used as the medium of instruction in formal education are required to meet the following English language requirements:

  1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum score of 550 (PBT) or 213 (CBT) or 79 – 80 (iBT)
  2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum overall Band 6.
  3. Malaysian University English Test (MUET) : minimum Band 6.

The test must be taken no more than two years before the start of your studies at Legenda.
