Diploma in Product Design Pathway

Diploma in Product Design is designed to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in current & future employment or for progression to Higher National Diploma (HND) & Bachelors degree. Diploma in Product Design are fully accredited by the British Government and recognised worldwide.

The aim of this programme is to provide a learning environment that ensures students to:

  • Gain the education & training for a range of careers in Product Design.
  • Develop skills in design, implementation & evaluation appropriate to the pathway they have chosen.
  • Become proficient in Product Design skills relevant to the industry & to the current scenario.
  • Be aware of the trends in the area of specialisation.
  • Be able to learn & work both individually and as part of a group.
  • Develop effective communication skills, both on an individual basis as well as making corporate presentations.
  • Produce work of a highly professional standard.
  • Be equipped to pursue further study in the area of choice.

Duration
3 years; 9 semesters

Main Intakes
The main intakes are conducted in December (Short semester), March (Long semester) and July (Long semester) of each year.

Entry Requirements

Any one of the following qualifications:

  1. Pass SPM / SPMV / GCE ‘O’ Level / SMIII (UEC) with 3 credits and pass in Art Education (Pendidikan Seni) and Bahasa Malaysia*;
  2. Pass Certificate from Polytechnics or Institutions recognized by Malaysian Government*;
  3. Pass Certificate from Kolej Universiti Linton or other PHEI with Standard Minimum certified*;
  4. Other equivalent qualifications recognized by Malaysian Government*;

AND pass Interview Test / Drawing Test / Portfolio Test which recognized by Kolej Universiti Linton for those who did not take Art Education.

English Language Requirements (For international students only)
All international students from a country in which English is not used as the medium of instruction in formal education are required to meet the following English language requirements:

  1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum score of 550 (PBT) or 213 (CBT) or 79 – 80 (iBT)
  2. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum overall Band 6.
  3. Malaysian University English Test (MUET) : minimum Band 6.

The test must be taken no more than two years before the start of your studies at Legenda.
